I am a graduate with a B.S. in Biology and a few
years of research experience under my belt. I will be
moving to South Africa (ultimate destination still
unknown) in January and I am looking for a temporary
research assistant position (6 months).
I am currently a research assistant for the Smithsonian
Tropical Research Institute on Barro Colorado Island,
Panama. The projects I am involed with include a fig/
wasp mutualism analysis and a fungal transfer experiment
between and among different tropical woody plant species.
I am interested in all aspects of community ecology and
specifically in the practical applications of research
results. I will post my resume upon request and would
greatly appreciate any suggestions, contact names, or
leads.
